Gilbert Gutierrez, PMHNP-BC

I recently moved from St. Louis to Portland after first discovering the Pacific Northwest over 10 years ago. In our trips back here over the years, both for work and for fun, my wife and I have built a community of friends that makes this area feel like home.

I've spent over 20 years in healthcare, working in several of the nation's leading hospitals in a variety of roles that helped me grow as a clinician. I completed my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training at Saint Louis University and most recently worked at an inner-city, walk-in behavioral health clinic, caring for patients from every walk of life.

My approach to medicine is laid-back and straightforward, with a solid foundation in evidence and research. We'll work as a team to manage ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and any other issues that come up through focused medication management. I have a casual, conversational style and want to get to know you! I will see you for medication appointments only — you can see one of our therapists here, or keep your current therapist and still see me.

When I'm not busy working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and pets, fixing random things around the house, or exploring the Pacific Northwest.
