FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

Contact us via phone call, text message or email here on our website for therapy or medication management services. Each page has contact buttons.
Leave your name and number and give us permission to contact you you.

Our admin will return your call, email or message.
We will send you a link to join our practice's secure messaging app (Spruce Health) so we can

communicate easily.
We can then answer your questions via the secure app.

We will either schedule you for a free 15-20 minute telehealth consult with one of our clinicians OR you can schedule your first session with a therapist or our prescriber.
We may have to add you to a short waitlist if the therapist you are interested in working with is full.

Waitlists can be frustrating, we know! We are trying to do everything we can to get you help.
Our clinicians' availability changes and we want to remain connected with you, so if we have added you to a

waitlist, we will check back in via the Spruce app when there is an opening.
Let's get started!

HOW LONG DOES MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT TAKE?

Each individual, couples or family session typically averages 50-55 minutes.

Group therapy sessions are 60-90 minutes depending on the group.

Medication management appointments are typically 60 minutes for the initial appointment.

Clinicians typically meet weekly with their clients.

Our prescriber schedules depending on what you need.

Therapy and medication management itself is a process and we can't determine the duration, or how long it will take to 'feel better'.

This is client, clinician and situation specific.

DO YOU OFFER FREE CONSULTATIONS TO SEE IF WE ARE A GOOD FIT?

Of course!

We offer a 15-20 minute free consultation over telehealth.

Research shows the therapeutic relationship is MOST IMPORTANT when looking at curative factors.

SHOULD I SEE AN ASSOCIATE CLINICIAN?

Yes!

Our associates have graduate level education and practical training.

They have received their graduate degrees.

The title associate refers to clinicians who are working on getting licensed in the state of Oregon.

Some of the benefits of seeing an associate include: extra supervision for your particular concerns and more

recent training and education.

Our associate clinicians are here, doing this, because they want to help you!

SHOULD I SEE SOMEONE FOR THERAPY, MEDICATIONS OR BOTH?

Yes!

You can see a therapist only, our prescriber only or you can see both a therapist and a our prescriber. If you already have a therapist and love working with them and need medications, keep your current therapist and come see Gil for medications.

Whatever works for you works for us!

DO YOU TAKE OHP (Medicaid)?

Yes, we believe in access to mental health services!

Our admin Jude or our practice manager Kori will help you sort through this process.

We accept Trillium, PacificSource OHP, HealthShare and Care Oregon.

We can ask for authorization to use other Medicaid plans such as InterCommunity Health.

Insurance can be confusing so, give our admins a call.
